S1E1: Immigration And Identity With Artist Zoya Cherkassky

One of Israel’s biggest names in contemporary art, Zoya Cherkassky shares with Sarah & Michal her thoughts on growing up in the Ukraine, immigrating to Israel and translating this deeply personal experience into paintings that speak to a collective memory.

Zoya also talks about presenting these quintessential questions of Israeli identity to the international viewer in her most recent solo show in NY, which a New York Times review defined as a “knockout” of a US debut exhibition.
