In this brand new painting Shai Yehezkelli created a double portrait which almost feels like it wants to protrude from the canvas. The portrait seems to oppose the canvas, insisting to inhabit in a space that supposedly can’t even contain it.
In this work, similarly to many of his paintings, Shai continues his exploration of the limits of the canvas and the tensions within the medium of painting itself.
