Born in 1952 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, she has been operating in the Israeli art world and academy since the early 1980’s.
David’s work is somewhat autobiographical, as it strictly correlates to the personal and geographical changes she experienced while creating each of her series. She often uses text and calligraphy as elements directly inserted in the artwork or accompaigning it.
From realistic figurative scenes of family life; juxtaposed landscapes; japanese inspired drawings; architecture; and geometrical graphic abstract - though her artworks diverse in mediums and subject matters, they usually share characteristics of vividness and an admirable attention to details.
With a substantial number of prestigious prizes, a retrospective at the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art, and numerous solo and group exhibitions in her arsenal, David now creates her work from her Tel-Aviv apartment and studio, overlooking one of its busiest, most iconic streets.
