Born in Israel in 1972, he lives and works in Haifa. Noy is an active contemporary artist taking part in various artistic and social initiatives.
In his abstract landscapes and robust portraits, Boaz Noy makes use of sharp colors to echo space and light. While extremely vivid, his works give great importance to the white color, which serves as guidance to the viewer’s glance.
He observes life and reality at his nearest surroundings as he aims to portray an emotional essence throughout his paintings, using oil in a distinctive manner. The subject matters of his works are taken from his studio space, the people that surround him, and the sights revealed to him from his home window.
Noy’s inspiration varies as it stems from post-impressionists as Cézanne and his friends and colleagues within the local art community.
