Alex Farfuri
Tel Aviv based photographer. Until 2023 Farfuri was mostly known for her distinctive street photography, captured mainly through the lens of an analog camera and complemented by video snippets from her phone.
Her documentation of the political unrest in Israel from 2023 onwards has elevated her to one of the most prominent photographers operating in Israel today. Farfuri's unique point of view is refreshing – weaving intense, at times painful moments of political and even historical magnitude, with hopeful, touching human moments, balancing artistic and journalistic photography.
This signature style is evident in her piece "Sunday" which was awarded 2023 Local Testimony's Best Video Award.
